Digital evidence + legal technology

Secure Evidence

Defensible collection and handling of mobile digital evidence.

Secure Evidence is a guided hardware and software platform being developed for the controlled capture, preservation and handling of mobile communications and digital material.

The problem

Why this exists.

Legal and investigative teams need to collect relevant messages, images and files without creating avoidable handling errors. Manual transfer methods make scope, repeatability, legal hold and chain-of-custody evidence difficult to manage.

The response

What we are building.

The product direction combines a portable capture station with a guided matter workflow. An authorised operator identifies the custodian and collection scope, connects the device and produces a preserved, traceable evidence package.

Core capabilities

Designed around the work.

01

Guided matter setup

Create the matter, identify the custodian and define what the collection is authorised to capture.

02

Mobile evidence capture

Acquire selected communications, images and files through a repeatable operator workflow.

03

Integrity records

Hashing, timestamps and collection records support later verification of captured material.

04

Chain of custody

Record handling events, operators, devices and transfers from collection through delivery.

05

Legal-hold workflow

Preserve scoped material and maintain a record of the hold instruction and collection activity.

06

Controlled export

Produce organised evidence packages for authorised legal review and downstream systems.

Who it is for

Built for organisations with real operational responsibility.

  • Law firms

For teams responsible for selecting, operating or governing this capability in real working conditions.

  • Corporate legal teams

For teams responsible for selecting, operating or governing this capability in real working conditions.

  • Investigators

For teams responsible for selecting, operating or governing this capability in real working conditions.

  • eDiscovery providers

For teams responsible for selecting, operating or governing this capability in real working conditions.

  • Regulated organisations

For teams responsible for selecting, operating or governing this capability in real working conditions.

Expected outcomes

  1. 01More consistent collection

This outcome is measured against the agreed starting point, operating scope and evidence available during delivery.

  2. 02Reduced handling risk

This outcome is measured against the agreed starting point, operating scope and evidence available during delivery.

  3. 03Clearer custody records

This outcome is measured against the agreed starting point, operating scope and evidence available during delivery.

  4. 04Faster legal review

This outcome is measured against the agreed starting point, operating scope and evidence available during delivery.

  5. 05Portable controlled workflow

This outcome is measured against the agreed starting point, operating scope and evidence available during delivery.

Current product reality

What is true now.

The capture-station hardware concept and operating workflow are in prototype development. Validation, platform-specific acquisition testing, security review and legal-process review remain required. It is not presented as a certified forensic acquisition product.
